Back to Work

So it has been a little while since my last post, but a lot of things have happened. First off, I graduated. Yes I have my MFA from Utah State University. It is a great feeling to finally be done and have that degree in hand. I was finally able to update my Vitae with an actual graduation date. Crazy I know. My wife graduated as well with her degree in Speech Language Pathology. Now we come to the crossroads. What do we do and how do we do it. I have been looking for full time work with different colleges, Universities and professional companies. Had a couple fun interviews and I even landed a part -time gig teaching at Ballinphort Academy of Photographic Arts. It's a brand new school, still going through the accreditation process and they will start classes in the Fall. I will be teaching 4 classes in Studio Lighting, Landscape Photography, Photography Composition, and a camera specific class. I'm pretty stoked, plus it gives me an excuse to buy more gear. Oh, and it's online too. It's going to be a little bit different, but i'm excited to see where this goes. I 'm still teaching Graphic Design at Stevens-Henager College in Logan as well.
A few weeks ago I started to get that feeling again, ya know, where you have to get your hands on a camera and are compelled to shoot. Well, I finally got the kids to bed at a decent hour and was able to shoot this little beauty. I love Macro stuff. This was probably at a 2:1 ratio  (meaning it was 2 times larger focused on my DSLR chip than it is in real life) This little translucent leaf was only about 3 mm long. I have more things that I am planning on shooting in the near future as well, so keep a look out for those.
